Our Principals

Brian Killian

Brian Killian is the President of NorthPoint Technology Group.  Brian has an extensive background as a technology professional in the community banking space and has over fifteen years in the IT industry.  Brian has particular expertise in aligning technology initiatives with business goals, strategic IT planning, network design, and overall information technology cost management. Prior to launching NorthPoint Technology Group, he served as Director of Network Services of Brintech, Inc., a national community bank consulting firm. Brian has worked with financial organizations ranging in asset size from $100 million to $25 billion. He has managed consulting and implementation projects throughout the United States as well as in Canada, The Bahamas, and Cayman Islands.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida.  He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Certified Netware Engineer, and holds additional certifications with Cisco, Citrix, EMC, and VMware.  He has authored articles and delivered seminars on technology management, total cost of ownership, and business and technology alignment.

 

Tim Hester

Tim Hester is a Senior Systems Consultant for NorthPoint Technology Group. He has over 15 years of experience in Network Systems Infrastructure design and implementation with specialization in centralizing the management of IT resources using thin client technology. Throughout his IT career, Tim has been key in the design, implementation and project management of projects ranging from Novell to Microsoft migrations, Email platform migrations, server clustering, storage area networking, server virtualization, LAN/WAN designs and implementations and traditional to thin client network migrations.  Before joining NorthPoint Technology Group, Tim worked for Brintech, Inc., a technology consulting firm that provided technology solutions and implementations to financial services companies nation-wide. His prior experience also includes working for an international resort company, where he was key in the design and implementation of a system for accessing a centralized database from resorts located in over 40 states.   Tim’s enterprise level experience in information technology allows him to “see the big picture” when designing IT business solutions.  He has a proven track record in maximizing systems manageability and minimizing costs.

Tim Hester is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator, EMC Technical Architect and VMware VCP. 

 

Kevin McKenna

Kevin McKenna is a Senior Systems Consultant for NorthPoint Technology Group.  He has over 12 years of experience in networking design and implementation with proven expertise in Multilayer LAN switching; WAN routing, QoS, VPN Solutions, IP Telephony and redundant datacenter design.  On the Systems side, Kevin has extensive experience with Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 platforms and back office components as well as Thin Client solutions including both Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server.  Before joining NorthPoint Technology Group, Kevin worked for Brintech Inc., a consulting company providing design, implementation, and support solutions to a nationwide financial services client base.  Prior to this, he worked for an international resort corporation, where he participated in the design and implementation of a large scale Citrix based network supporting over 2000 users.  Kevin has provided support for all aspects of enterprise networks. He understands the role of IT in providing a stable and scalable platform for the needs of the business environment while maximizing manageability and minimizing ownership costs.

Kevin McKenna earned a degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Economics, from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.  Kevin is also a Cisco Certified Network Professional, Cisco Certified Design Associate, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and a Citrix Certified Administrator.
